CUYUNA — A 43-year-old Brainerd man and a 26-year-old Aitkin man both suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash yesterday on Highway 6 north of Crosby.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 2012 GMC Sierra was southbound on the highway shortly before 3 p.m. A 2010 Chevy Silverado was westbound on Crow Wing County Road 30 and went through the intersection. The two pickup trucks collided.
Both drivers were transported to St. Cloud Hospital.
Emmet Wayne Smith of Brainerd, who was traveling on the highway, wore a seat belt, according to the state patrol. Dante Antonio Irizarry of Aitkin, who entered the intersection, was not, the report stated.
