The comedic play will have six evening performances and two matinees.

BEMIDJI — Bemidji Community Theater announced dates for “Present Laughter.”

Opening night is Friday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. in the BCT Performing Arts Center, 316 Beltrami Ave. NW.

“Present Laughter,” according to a news release, “depicts several weeks in the life of the successful and self-obsessed light comedy actor, Garry Essendine. He is preparing to travel for a touring commitment in Africa.

“Amid a series of events bordering on farce, Garry has to deal with women who want to seduce him, placate both his long-suffering secretary and his wife, cope with a crazed young playwright, and overcome his impending mid-life crisis.”

Tickets are available online or at Bemidji’s Ken K. Thompson Jewelry or McKenzie Place. Concierge seating tickets are also available online.

Performance dates are 7 p.m. Sept. 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16, with matinees offered 2 p.m. Sept. 10 and 17.
