BEMIDJI — Bemidji’s 2023 Pride celebration begins Friday, Aug. 25, at the Sanford Event Center.
Drag performer Ada Vox is headlining this all-ages show, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the Sanford Center box office or Ticketmaster. Vox has been featured on American Idol, Queen of the Universe and America’s Got Talent.
Bemidji Pride continues through the weekend, with a free Family Pride Festival noon-5 p.m. Saturday at the Rail River Folk School, 303 Railroad St. SW. An all-ages drag performance will follow at 5 p.m.
Foxby and Dwa Brown will perform 8-10 p.m. for an 18-plus show, as part of the evening drag show and “Icons of Pride” dance party. There is a $15 cover for the evening entertainment, with the show transitioning to 21-plus after 10 p.m.
Bemidji Pride will wrap up 11:30 a.m. Sunday with a drag brunch at the Rail River Folk School, in partnership with Table for 7. Tickets are $65, and the farm-to-table brunch will be hosted by Deja DuValle and feature local drag performers.
