NORMANNA TOWNSHIP — A St. Louis County man was found dead at a structure fire on Monday, Aug. 24.
In a news release, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office stated Scott Alan Larson, 57, was discovered while firefighters responded to a multi-building fire near East Pioneer Road and Pioneer Junction Road in Normanna Township, west of Two Harbors.
A neighbor called 9-1-1 around 1:52 p.m. after hearing the explosions of several propane tanks and discovering a neighboring property in flames, according to the sheriff’s office.
When fire personnel arrived, multiple outbuildings were found to be fully engulfed in flames.
The sheriff's office and State Fire Marshal are investigating the incident.
