CLEARBROOK — What started as a hobby soon turned into a business for Brian and Kathy Brandt of Mustang Sally BBQ in Marshall.
The couple will share their professional barbecue competition journey from novice grillers to grand champion pit masters to small business owners during a Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning event. “BBQ Like a Pro” will be Wednesday, May 24, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the program begins at 9:30 a.m.
The Brandts will share tips, techniques and maybe a few secrets for making grand champion barbecue. Building flavor is the key to great taste, organizers stated, so participants will also have an opportunity to create their own seasoning.
There will be products for sale as well as door prizes.
