David Wall was a missionary linguist in Papua New Guinea for 20 years.

FOSSTON — Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning will host a missionary linguist for its Wednesday, May 10, presentation in Fosston.

David Wall will present “Understanding Equality and Equity When Society Seems to be Confused” at the Embassy Community Center in Fosston, located at 603 Third St. NE.

Wall spent 20 years working as a missionary linguist in Papua New Guinea, just north of Australia. During Wall’s tenure in the country, he and his family lived among an isolated tribal group in the rainforest learning their language and culture. The experience of living among remote tribal people gave Wall the opportunity to learn how to navigate the delicate issues of equality and equity, a news release stated.

The program starts at 9:30 a.m. and doors open at 9 a.m.
