Rosenmeier Forum tackles ‘Future of Rural Minnesota’

BRAINERD — The future of rural Minnesota will be the focus of the next Rosenmeier Forum at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

Set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the Chalberg Theatre, the event is free and open to the public. Speaking is Julie Tesch, president and CEO of the Center for Rural Policy & Development. Tesch is a speaker and published author.

Tesch was raised on a dairy farm in rural Minnesota and has served in top positions for FFA, the National 4-H Federation and the national Farm Bureau. She’s also been involved in agricultural education at every level for students in kindergarten through 12th grades and at community colleges and state universities.

"Julie brings a remarkable background of experience and passion for the goal of preserving and improving the quality of life for the people of Greater Minnesota,” said Steve Wenzel, executive director of the Rosenmeier Center for State and Local Government. “ … The Rosenmeier Center is indeed fortunate to have Julie Tesch for our next Forum speaker.”
