Events Up North April 13-19: Book sales, Iron Range Earth Fest

Events this week include a poetry and printmaking program at Arrowhead libraries, Bemidji Chorale concerts and a "Brain Train" event in Cohasset.

It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:

  • Spring Book Sale - 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Westgate Mall in Brainerd
  • Community Brain Train - 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cohasset Community Center. The event is an educational workshop about healthy aging and brain health.

Friday, April 17

  • Book and bake sale - 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Bemidji Senior Center
  • Spring Book Sale - 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Westgate Mall in Brainerd
  • Sword in the Stone - 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater. Tickets.

Saturday, April 18

  • Book and bake sale - 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Bemidji Senior Center
  • Rummage and bake sale - 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at New Salem Lutheran Church in Turtle River
  • North Country Trail Association group hike - 8:45 a.m. Meet at the Tioga Beach parking area near Grand Rapids, then shuttle 4 miles out and hike back.
  • Iron Range Earth Fest - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia
  • Bemidji Area Weavers Guild demonstrations - 2-4 p.m. at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji
  • Pop-up Art Show with Tom Page - 2-6 p.m. at Klockow Brewing in Grand Rapids. Page will speak at 4 p.m.
  • Bemidji Chorale presents "Folks Songs and Franz" - 7 p.m. in Bangsberg Hall on the Bemidji State University campus. Free admission.
  • Sword in the Stone - 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater. Tickets.
