Events this week include Soup in the Street in Grand Rapids, an open mic night in Park Rapids and performances of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" in Mountain Iron.

Community Read-in - 5-6 p.m. at Bemidji Public Library. Gather to read your own book quietly.
Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts hosts auditions for The Tin Woodsman of Oz, 6-9 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School auditorium
Symphonic Band concert - 7:30 p.m. in the main theater in Bangberg Hall on the campus of Bemidji State University

Highway 34 Corridor Study open house - 4-6 p.m. at Park Rapids City Hall
Coats for the Community distribution - 5-7 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Park Rapids
Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts hosts auditions for The Tin Woodsman of Oz, 6-9 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School auditorium
Loon Country Quilters meeting - 6 p.m. in the activities center at Grand Village in Grand Rapids

Itasca Housing Resource Team hosts Soup on the Street - 3 p.m. at Old Central School in Grand Rapids. Donations of hats, mittens and scarves will be accepted.
Community Bonfire - 5-7 p.m. at the beach on Silver Lake in Virginia

Watermark Art Center Poetry Slam - Music at 6 p.m., poetry readings at 7 p.m. at Fozzie's Barbeque in Bemidji
Open Mic Night - 7 p.m. at Armory Arts & Events Center in Park Rapids
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (high school edition) - 7 p.m. at Merritt Auditorium in Mountain Iron

Anne of Green Gables: The Musical - 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater Performing Arts Center
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (high school edition) - 7 p.m. at Merritt Auditorium in Mountain Iron
The Lion King, Jr. - 7 p.m. at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids

Holiday open house - 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd
Holiday market - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Northland Arboretum in Baxter
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (high school edition) - 1 p.m. at Merritt Auditorium in Mountain Iron
The Lion King, Jr. - 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids
Twilight Parade - 5:15 p.m. in downtown Virginia. Fireworks follow the parade at 6:15 p.m. from the shore of Silver Lake.
Anne of Green Gables: The Musical - 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater Performing Arts Center
Bemidji Chorale concert - 7 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (high school edition) - 1 p.m. at Merritt Auditorium in Mountain Iron. This performance will have American Sign Language interpretation.
Anne of Green Gables: The Musical - 2 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater Performing Arts Center
Bemidji Chorale concert - 2 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji
The Lion King, Jr. - 2 p.m. at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids
