Cora from Shevlin was our guest on "What's for Breakfast" Friday, April 18, 2025.

Every Friday morning, we get to know one of our members on "What's for Breakfast." Recently, we spoke with Cora from Shevlin, who was enjoying a day off from school.

SHEVLIN — Every once in a while, we get to have another chat with a member we've met before on "What's for Breakfast" during the KAXE Morning Show. This week's returning member was Cora from Shevlin.

For breakfast, Cora kept it simple, having some salami on top of some Italian bread. Along with that, she had some Ovaltine mixed into a glass of milk.

Cora had the day off from school because of Easter. She planned to play video games, go outside and potentially go to her aunt's house.

"She is ... interesting. Yeah. That's what I'm gonna say," Cora said of her aunt.

Cora is a sixth grader at the Aurora Waasakone Community of Learners School in Bemidji. Her favorite subjects are math and literature. Currently, she's doing her math Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment testing.

She also told us about what she's been reading recently. Cora is reading Warrior Cats, a series by Erin Hunter. The series follows the drama of multiple clans of wild cats living in the forest.

On the topic of cats, Cora talked about her own pets, too. She has a dog, six chickens, six cats, and four goats. The goats' names are Gangle, Dwight from The Office, Gundy and Selma. They're all males. According to Cora, taking care of female goats is more of a time commitment than her family has time for.

Lastly, Cora told us why she joined us for "What's for Breakfast."

"I just like talking, and I like socializing," she said. " ... This is a really good place to do that."
