BRITT — Last week, many new members joined KAXE during our "People-Powered Radio" spring member drive, which means there are new potential "What's for Breakfast" callers. One of those new members, Noah Sharpe-Stirewalt from Britt, phoned in on Friday, April 11.

For breakfast, Noah kept it simple. He had a banana, a cup of coffee and some buttered wheat toast. Yesterday's breakfast was more interesting: pancake sandwiches with sausage patties in the middle.
Noah told us about his move to off-grid living with his wife and 8-year-old son. He told us that it was mainly motivated by lower living costs compared to living on-grid. He said it has been tricky setting everything up and downsizing, but it seems to be working for them.
"Everything you can imagine, we had to downgrade," he said.
Noah said his son Oliver has been loving the move. Oliver goes to Mountain Iron for school.
Noah decided to become a KAXE member because he's always enjoyed listening to our shows. The member drive inspired him to finally join.
