Events this week include Back to Hack in Hackensack, an artist reception in Bemidji, the Buhl Winter Frolic and Take a Kid Ice Fishing weekend.

It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:

Tuesday, Jan. 14

  • Classic Movie Series - 6:30 p.m. at Paulucci Space Theater in Hibbing. This month's film is The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer from 1947. Conversation follows the film.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

Thursday, Jan. 16

  • Maker's Market - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cohasset City Hall

Friday, Jan. 17

Saturday, Jan. 18

  • Friends of Flathorn Gegoka Trails' ribbon-cutting at Jensen Trailhead - 12:30 p.m. in the Superior National Forest
  • Back to Hack - various events like penguin plunge, snow golf, fireworks, fishing contest and more in Hackensack
  • Take a Kid Ice Fishing Weekend (through Monday, Jan. 20). Lake Bemidji State Park will provide equipment and heated shelters from 1-3 p.m.
  • Buhl Winter Frolic - 3-7 p.m. at Buhl skating rink. Enjoy activities like boot hockey, sledding and horse-drawn carriage rides.
