GRAND RAPIDS — When it comes to breakfast, sometimes you go through waves. You have a go-to breakfast that you just can't get enough of even though you know you could make something else.
KAXE Music Director Kari Hedlund made a surprise appearance on "What's for Breakfast" on the KAXE Morning Show recently.
As of late, her go-to breakfast is oatmeal with some walnuts sprinkled in and maple syrup.
Turns out Kari is awfully particular about the type of SPOON she uses to eat the oatmeal. It needs the correct depth: for instance, she can't use a flat SPOON.
She enjoyed her oatmeal with a cup of coffee with freshly ground beans.
This conversation was before the 2024 Grand Rapids Riverfest lineup announcement, and little did we know Kari was giving us clues!
Early bird tickets for 2024 Grand Rapids Riverfest on Sept. 7
