This week, Amy and Heidi meditate on the theme of "More Time Than Money" — a show about making do with resourcefulness and creativity. They'll talk about incredible recipes that take time and skill, but not necessarily a lot of money.

Joining the dynamic duo is Amy's neighbor Bruce Engebretsen, who throws the best parties in the neighborhood, boasts an amazing backyard oven and is a master weaver.

Amy Thielen's neighbor Bruce Engebretsen holds one of his woven pieces. Engebretsen is a weaver and also a prolific home cook and neighborhood cook and party host.

We'll also hear from Chef Ted Lee, co-founder of The Lee Bros. Boiled Peanuts Catalogue, a mail-order catalog for southern pantry staples. He is also a food and travel journalist and co-author of The Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook and Simple Fresh Southern.

And 5-year-old Luca Squadroni joins Amy and Heidi to learn them good about spruce tips. Wait until you hear how he describes the flavors — what a palate that kid has!

This week's community recipe to cook along with us is Bran Crispbread. Give it a try and send us your reactions and photos at comments@kaxe.org!

Thanks to the Crabb sisters from Meadowlands for calling in and Jon from Los Angeles as well as the texts throughout the show!
