The latest Album of the Week comes from Australian multi-instrumentalist, Tash Sultana; their second album is out now, Terra Firma, released on Tash's own label, Lonely Lands Records.
Sultana, who is non-binary and prefers they/them, is a musician who got their start in a very 2020s way. They started releasing music in 2018, after going on a sold-out world tour in 2017 as they had gained a serious audience by releasing videos on YouTube. Sultana has developed a very distinct sound, channeling jazz, funk and some serious guitar work.
