First up, Skarlett Woods is playing Bemidji Brewing this Saturday at 5 p.m. Woods is a folk-singer and jazz guitarist who blends the two genres with elements of rock and pop. She won the Dylan Fest songwriting competition in 2022 and released her debut album, Letters to the West, in 2023.
In Park Rapids, Cameron Elijah Erickson is playing at Revel Brewing at 6 p.m. Saturday. Erickson is the son of musician Christopher David Hanson and is back playing around Northern Minnesota after attending college for music in California. In addition to his solo songwriter shows, he leads a jazz band as the drummer and plays with his dad in Woodsong Souvenir.
There is a Singer-Songwriter Showcase in Aitkin, also Saturday night at 6 p.m. at the Ripple Center. The lineup of artists sharing their songs and inspirations includes Scott Jasmin, Roy Allen, Vicki Morrison Goble, Jan and Mike Cherry, Tom Mobry and Gavin Glen.
On Sunday, J Streitz is playing a solo show at the Ore House in Gilbert at 3 p.m. Streitz is an alt-country and folk musician who leads the band the Long Odds. They put out their debut in 2024 and are currently close to releasing their second album, Set Sun.
