BRAINERD — A 48-year-old Baxter man died Friday night, May 1, after he was struck by a vehicle in south Brainerd.
According to a news release, the Brainerd Police Department received a report at 10:01 p.m. of the crash near the intersection of South 10th Street and Industrial Park Road.
Officers located an unresponsive man and attempted life-saving measures, but they were unsuccessful.
The victim was identified as Michael John Alger. The vehicle involved was driven by Ashtin Brotherton, 18, of Brainerd.
The crash remains under investigation as of a Monday news release. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact the Brainerd Police Department at 218-829-2805.
Assisting at the scene were the Minnesota State Patrol and North Memorial Health ambulance.
