DEER RIVER — Dress for Success Twin Cities will make two stops in Northern Minnesota next week, visiting Grand Rapids and the Ball Club Community Center in Deer River.
Women and gender-expansive people 18 and older are invited to meet with a volunteer to learn more about the agency’s career services and receive a free Confidence Kit, which includes professional clothing and accessories.
The first 15 to register and attend either event — Aug. 28 at Essentia Health Grand Rapids or Aug. 29 at the Ball Club Community Center— will also receive a free refurbished laptop from PCs for People.
The group's mission is to help low-income women achieve career advancement, career stability and economic sustainability.
Dress for Success Twin Cities said the visit is a sneak peek to get women excited about the group's "Success Express" bus coming for the launch of "The Future is Feminine" initiative with Smart North.
