HOYT LAKES — The East Range Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of people responsible for a fire in Hoyt Lakes Thursday night.
The Steven Chambers building sustained extensive damage in the fire.
The log pavilion with a stone fireplace was built in the late ‘30s or early ‘40s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The site is used for scouting trips, weekend camping and outdoor recreation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 218-255-2000 to speak with an officer.
