GRAND RAPIDS — Join us as we kick off patio season with a free outdoor concert at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Rapids Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids.
Longtime KAXE favorite Erik Koskinen has just released a new album, Down Street – Love Avenue. He’ll be hot off the heels of an April residency at Icehouse in Minneapolis, where he is joined by Martha Scanlan, Pieta Brown and others.
Mae Simpson is one of the premier emerging artists in the Minnesota music scene, led by powerful vocals in front of a funk, soul-filled, rock and country band. Making their Grand Rapids debut, Simpson and her band can’t wait to bring their high-energy show to Rapids Brewing Co.
Get to know KAXE!
Before the concert, KAXE will present a brief recap of the past year. Find out about the growth of our local news team, growing involvement in our communities, Grand Rapids Riverfest updates and more.
We’ll be honoring our on-air volunteers at the event and handing out our annual volunteer awards. Have a favorite DJ? Send us a shout out, and we’ll share.
Members* and the general public are invited to the meeting. This is your opportunity to meet our new team members, ask questions and hang outside with great music!
