Incumbents lose in both Aitkin County commissioner races

Timothy Catlin was elected county commissioner in District 1 and Patrick Murphy was elected county commissioner in District 3.

AITKIN — Timothy Catlin defeated incumbent J. Mark Wedel by a razor-thin margin in Aitkin County Commissioner District 1 race.

Patrick Murphy won the District 3 race against incumbent Travis J. Leiviska.

All results are unofficial until certified by the canvassing board.

Commissioner District 1 includes the city of Aitkin and Aitkin Township.

Commissioner District 3 includes the city of McGrath and much of southeastern Aitkin County.
