Why are you running for office?
I have resided here in Baxter for over 40 years and I would like to give back to the community to try and help out with some of the existing roads construction and up coming new projects
What are your priorities, if elected? Please describe specific policy goals.
Try to the budget balanced help out our senior residents that are low income based with up coming road improvements, possibly expanding our police force hopefully over see the new highway construction and help out new small businesses that are willing to open their stores.
Across the region, renters and owners are struggling to afford housing. If elected, what would you do to address the issues of availability and affordability for your constituents?
Look into possible low income assistant from state and federal government to help defer costs
What effective policies will you support that will prepare your city now, next year and in the future to improve resiliency against climate change?
Again look into state and federal aid. Also be aware of any businesses that may not be keeping up with local,state and federal guidelines
High taxation is a concern for many Northern Minnesotans. Please share any specific opinions you hold related to taxation, and how you plan to ensure tax dollars are used efficiently and effectively.
Unfortunately there will always be taxes, and trying to keep the taxes spread out evenly for all residents is not a very easy job. Being a possible council member I would make it a priority to make sure that the money's coming in would be spent wisely and evenly across the area
How do you plan to improve transparency and trust in government?
Keep open council meetings when ever possible make sure that the residents are being informed about on going projects and up coming ones also
