Yo La Tengo's new album 'This Stupid World' is out now.

Listen here to KAXE Music Director Kari Hedlund's conversation with Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo, featuring performances of 'Aselestine' and 'Fallout.'

"If we didn't enjoy making ourselves uncomfortable and trying different things, it's hard to imagine lasting this long."

These words from Ira Kaplan, who is the co-founder, vocalist, guitarist and songwriter in American band Yo La Tengo, encapsulate the group's enduring presence in the world of indie rock.

For almost 40 years, Yo La Tengo has been discovering new ground and challenging expectations, all while quietly attracting a cult-like following.
