In total, Northlanders earned 47 medals in Class 1A at the 2025 state track and field meet.

Plus: Trek North students in Bemidji reflect on a recent service trip to the Mexican border; and the White Earth Tribal & Community College hopes to create a new training center for in-demand jobs like plumbers, electricians and other skilled labor.

Minnesotans are voting for Itasca County Board, Two Harbors City Council, Rock Ridge School Board and referendums in the Pequot Lakes, Pine River-Backus and Nevis school districts.

Nearly 40 student-athletes from rural schools across the Northland will race at next week's state meets at Giant's Ridge.
