Wendy Savage is an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac Reservation, The Lake Superior Band of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. In their conversation, Sam tells the story that inspired one of his paintings, where as a child, his father tried to trick his grandmother to get out of berry picking.
