Aaron Wenger was a poet and physicist who was instrumental in starting the engineering program at Itasca Community College, now Minnesota North-Itasca. He was a regular part of KAXE's programming for many years, whether he was sharing a poem, a story, or his thoughts on the universe.

Boese was a longtime contributor to KAXE. He’s the author of eight books dealing with local history in Itasca County, including "John C. Greenway and the Opening of the Western Mesabi" and "Papermakers: the Blandin Paper Company and Grand Rapids, Minnesota."

Itasca Orchestra Strings Program presents "Passion and Pulse," a concert with vibrant Latin American sounds. The performance will honor Jesse Davis, who played viola with the orchestra and was president of their board.
