- Deer River Wild Rice Festival - 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. in Deer River. Parade at 1 p.m.
- Monthly breakfast buffet - 9 a.m.-noon at the Buck Lake Community Center, located 12 miles north of Nashwauk. This month's buffet will celebrate America's 250th birthday.
