- MnDOT open house on for Highway 71 Park Rapids Corridor Study - 4 to 6 p.m. at Park Rapids City Hall
Wednesday, Oct. 1
- Big Fall Book Sale - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Westgate Mall in Brainerd
- Butterfly presentation - 6 p.m. at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji
Thursday, Oct. 2
- Big Fall Book Sale - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Westgate Mall in Brainerd
- Flu vaccine clinic - 4 to 6 p.m. at the Itasca Resource Center in Grand Rapids
- EV Car Show - 4 to 6 p.m. at Beltrami Electric Cooperative garage in Bemidji
- Chronic Wasting Disease Pint Night - 5 to 8 p.m. at Cuyuna Brewing Company in Crosby. Hosted by the Minnesota chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers.
Friday, Oct. 3
- Big Fall Book Sale - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Westgate Mall in Brainerd
- First Friday Art Walk - 4 to 7 p.m. at various locations in Grand Rapids
- Artist reception - 5 to 7 p.m. at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji, featuring textile artist Kristen Anderson and the exhibit "Refugia: The Seasonal Pond Project." Anderson will give a brief talk at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 4
- MacRostie Art Center fall studio tour - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at nine different studios throughout the Grand Rapids area.
- Monarch Butterfly Festival - 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bemidji Veterans' Home. Kids should arrive before 3 p.m. if they would like to be part of the butterfly parade.
- Nevis Oktoberfest - 3 to 8 p.m. at Shenanigans Stage
- Iron Range Pasty Festival - 4 to 7 p.m. at Mountain Iron Community Center
Sunday, Oct. 5
- Range Area Walk to End Alzheimer's - noon registration at Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm. Ceremony begins at 1 p.m. with the walk to follow.
