It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:
Monday, June 30
- Summer Brown Bag author series - noon at the Brainerd Public Library. Minnesota author Sally Franson will discuss her new novel Big in Sweden.
- 81st Annual Bemidji Jaycees Water Carnival kicks off with medallion hunt. Activities continue July 2-6.

Tuesday, July 1
- Tuesday Summer Concert Series - noon at Community Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, featuring Patchwork Ensemble.
- Meet the Band - 5:30 p.m. at Bemidji High School. Meet this year's BHS marching band with a pulled pork dinner followed by a performance by the band.
- Northern Lights Music Festival Opening Night Concert - 7 p.m. at Veda Zuponcic Auditorium at Mesabi East High School in Aurora. The festival runs through July 24.
Thursday, July 3
- First THURSDAY Art Walk - 4 to 7 p.m. at various locations in Grand Rapids.
Friday, July 4
- The 4th Up North - check out KAXE's guide to celebrations across Northern Minnesota! There are celebrations on dates besides the Fourth as well.
Saturday, July 5
- Iron Man Car Show - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Minnesota Discovery Center in Chisholm.
