GRAND RAPIDS — Signe Hedlund, daughter of KAXE's Music Director Kari Hedlund, recently joined us on "What's for Breakfast" on the KAXE Morning Show.
For breakfast, Signe had a toaster waffle topped with both peanut butter and maple syrup, with a glass of water.
It was a big weekend for Signe, as she celebrated turning 8 years old. Her ideal birthday includes a visit from family and a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, with vanilla ice cream on the side.
Signe told us about some books she's enjoying lately, including the Babysitters Club series.
But it isn't just books, music is a big deal to her. Signe enjoys listening to whatever's on the radio, and she listed Ed Sheeran as a favorite. Grand Rapids Riverfest is a big deal to her, too. She described dancing, how much she loved last year and how cool it was that Sarah Jarosz had vines on her microphone stand.
Obviously, as Kari's daughter, she listens to KAXE a lot, but she actually does like it!
"It has a lot of songs, and my mom always talks about really cool stuff," she said.
Signe noted how hard her mom works, and left us with the message "Happy Mother's Day!"
