- Teen movie night - 6 p.m. at Hibbing Public Library. Free popcorn and pizza for those ages 13-18.
Thursday, Jan. 30
- Webinar with NAMI Grand Rapids - noon to 1:30 p.m. Dr. Justin Gambill share what he learned from his doctoral research about how people in rural areas cope with the loss of a loved one to suicide. Register.
- Pequot Lakes Community Theater presents Southern Fried Funeral - 7 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School. Tickets.

- Pequot Lakes Community Theater presents Southern Fried Funeral - 7 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School. Tickets.
Saturday, Feb. 1
- Barkin' Boba - 10:30 a.m. to noon at Great River Rescue in Bemidji. Learn how to make fresh boba drinks and socialize with adoptable animals. Free, but donations of pet supplies are welcome.
- Palisade Mid-Winter Festival - Events start at 10 a.m. in Palisade. Parade at noon.
- Creative Cafe - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loon Country Arts in Bemidji. Artist Kathy Sanders will help you create a one-of-a-kind Valentine.
- Bingo - 12:30 p.m. at Buck Lake Improvement Club, located 12 miles north of Nashwauk. Food and bingo supplies available for purchase. Games begin at 1 p.m.
- Winter lecture series - 1 p.m. at the Forest History Center in Grand Rapids. Master Gardener Bonny Siegford will present on Birds, Bees, and Butterflies. Regular site admission applies.
- Our World of Music and Art: St. Brigid's Day Celebration - at Headwaters Music and Arts in Bemidji. Irish folk music workshop at 2 p.m. Hands-on art project at 3 p.m.
