Temperatures have fluctuated a bit this January, but some of our days have been pretty cold. What are some of the ways you keep warm during a cold snap?
Here's what we heard
Bill from Big Lake texted, "I put cayenne pepper in my socks for walking the dogs." He said he also watches Elvis movies set in Hawaii and beach movies starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.
Emily on Facebook said, "I have a giant, Sherpa-lined sweatshirt/blanket that goes all the way to my knees. I usually leave that on for the day and stay on the couch if I can."
Dawnette from Grand Rapids texted, "My trick for getting outside during very cold weather is wearing ski goggles that go over my glasses. Now when I bend over to tighten my snowshoes or boot laces, my glasses don't fog up. Same with walking in the house."
Carol from Apple Valley said, "For me, it's helpful to lean (psychologically) in to the frigid cold because, of course, humans have what it takes to live in cold climates. Adjust your mittens and scarf when you feel the cold and say, 'That's better!'"

Lisa from Balsam submitted a photo of herself, saying she wears, "The puffiest of down parkas, wool mittens, cashmere scarf, sheepskin boots and knit hat that ties under the chin. Foggy glasses are just a bonus!"
Some answers are all about staying inside. Katie on Facebook wrote, "We're tackling a 2,000 piece puzzle with the kids."
"Reading books, feeding the birds, plenty of soft throws, wool socks, and star gazing," Linda on Facebook wrote.
Several people mentioned saunas. Teke said, "Sauna is the answer to all seasons. Turns 'dealing with' to 'feeling with' — the best kind of therapy."
Layering is another popular answer. Kim from Bemidji said, "You know what they say! There's no bad weather, only bad clothes."
Finally, Dan on Facebook said, "No whining. It's not a rule I follow, however."
