Events Up North Dec. 2-8: Chisholm holiday festival, 'A Christmas Carol'

Events this week include Christmas tea in Aitkin, a historical holiday museum in Hibbing, an open mic in Bemidji, and strings and symphony concerts in Grand Rapids and Brainerd.

It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:

Friends of the Brainerd Library brown bag author visit with Janet Kurtz - noon at the Brainerd Public Library. She will discuss her new book The Heart of My Soul: Tales of Five Generations at the Family Cabin.
A Christmas Carol - 7 p.m. at the Reif in Grand Rapids.

Christmas Tea - 1-3 p.m. at Jaques Art Center in Aitkin. Tickets are available by calling 218-927-2363.
Bemidji Symphony Orchestra presents "Christmas Voices" - 7 p.m. at Bemidji High School auditorium. Featuring the BSO youth choir and music from holiday movies such as Home Alone and White Christmas.

Brainerd Community Theater's production of A Christmas Carol - 7 p.m. at the Chalberg Theater at Central Lakes College in Brainerd

Christmas open house - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hibbing Historical Society Museum
