Events this week include theater and musical performances and nature journaling activity.

It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:

Tuesday, Nov. 12

  • Central Lakes College music department fall concert, "The Rhythm is Going to Get You" - 7 p.m. at the Chalberg Theater on the Brainerd campus. $8/adult, free for students. Featuring Raider Jazz Collective, Raider Concert Winds and The Central Lakes Jazz Orchestra

Wednesday, Nov. 13

Thursday, Nov. 14

  • Minnesota author Art Coulson reading - 5 p.m. at Bemidji Public Library. Coulson will read from his two new books for adults
  • Holiday pet photos with the Mesabi Humane Society - 4 to 6 p.m. at NorthRidge Community Credit Union in Virginia. All pets must be leashed. $20 donation. Donations of pet supplies also appreciated

Friday, Nov. 15

  • Minnesota author Art Coulson reading - 3:30 p.m. at Brainerd Public Library. Coulson will read from his two new books for adults
  • Range of Voices choir concert, "Fireside Stories," - 7 p.m. at Chisholm Baptist Church
  • "I Am, He Said - Matt Vee, Family and Friends Celebrate the Music of Neil Diamond" - 7 p.m. at Giichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd, tickets
  • Scrooge, a musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol - 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater

Saturday, Nov. 16

Sunday, Nov. 17

  • Range of Voices choir concert, "Fireside Stories," - 2 p.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Virginia
  • Scrooge, a musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol - 2 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater
