It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:
Monday, Oct. 28
- Open house - 4 to 6 p.m., Laurentian office of Superior National Forest near Aurora. Staff will be available to discuss construction projects, invasive species treatment, and more.

- Boo to the Flu! - 3 to 7 p.m. at Sanford Bemidji Children's Clinic. Kids are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes as they get their flu shots.
- Misery auditions - 5 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater. Be prepared to do a cold reading.

- Spooktacular Film Festival - 7 p.m. at the Historic Chief Theater in Bemidji. Featuring several locally made horror films and world premiere of one-act-play “Luella Miller” a psychic vampire tale by Roy C. Booth and directed by Cate Belleveau.
Thursday, Oct. 31

- Halloween bash - 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Marcell Family Center. Candy, food, bouncy tent, music, bingo, and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Grand Rapids FFA Trunk or Treat - 4 to 8 p.m. at the Itasca County Fairgrounds
- Kootasca Community Action Trunk or Treat - 4 to 6:30 at Kootasca Early Childhood Hub (former Murphy Elementary) in Grand Rapids.
Friday, Nov. 1
- First Friday Art Walk - 4 to 7 p.m. Full schedule at grandrapidsarts.org.
- Open House for "It's Only Clay" juried exhibit - 5 to 7 p.m. at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji. Awards announced at 6 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 2
- Brainerd Nordic Ski Club ski swap - 9 a.m. to noon at Forestview Middle School in Brainerd. Featuring both new and used Nordic and downhill equipment. If you have used equipment to sell, you may drop off beginning at 7:30 a.m.
- Learn to curl - 2 to 6 p.m. at Itasca Curling Club in Grand Rapids. Learn the basics and enjoy a game. Klockow Brewing will be on site with a tasting, plus free snacks available.
- Fire in the Village - 1:30 p.m. at Headwaters Music and Arts in Bemidji. Musician Annie Humphrey will perform and lead a conversation, plus you can participate in a block printing activity.
