Often mistaken for wolverines, fishers are Minnesota's largest resident weasel. Despite their (comparatively) large size, they're rarely seen - except by the scientists who study them!
This week, Heidi Holtan features an interview with Michael Joyce, a wildlife ecologist who works with fishers. We learn about their need for large cavities in living trees, some common misconceptions about their personalities, and how rodent poison can end up affecting fishers.
