Karl Jacob is an actor and filmmaker who's films include POLLYWOGS, COLD NOVEMBER, and MOOP. Karl is an alumnus of of LAFF, SXSW, CPH:PIX, WOODSTOCK, FLORIDAFF, CUCALORUS, and has appeared in THE BLACKLIST, SVU, BULL, FREEHELD, THE DEUCE, THE DICTATOR, THE ROOST and YOUNG AMERICAN BODIES. Mr. Jacob is a recipient of the Emerging Artist grant from the Jerome Foundation and was one of ten annual directors in IFP's Narrative Lab. He was born in the north woods of Minnesota, but currently resides in Queens, New York with his wife and some tiny humans. In 2021 Jacob co-founded Long Island City's co-working club, THE RESORT.

Episode 1: Castle in the Woods

Filmmaker Karl Jacob and author Aaron Brown take a road-trip-movie style journey through time to unlock the mystery of Bob Dylan’s hometown, and their hometown, Hibbing, Minnesota. They find a dynamic mayor named Victor Power who left few traces after his mysterious death almost a century ago. His political ghost still haunts an opulent, castle-like high school in the middle of the wilderness and reveals a story of America that has never been told before.
