Live music taking place Sept. 11-12, 2026 in Northern Minnesota

KAXE's weekly list of concerts near you features Severio Mancieri, Thomas X, Me & Er, and The Cropdusters.

With school back in session and our warmest days behind us, it's time to be proactive with live music in the cooler months.

Do you know of a venue that hosts music all year round? Do you have a favorite winter concert series? Are you a venue owner looking to bring people in during the slower seasons with live music? Please send any and all concert info to music@kaxe.org to be featured on The Setlist!

In addition, all week long we mention live music on air at KAXE and talk about many more shows than can be featured on this segment. Even if you don't see your event on The Setlist, we are still getting the word out! Help us help you.

Now, even though many summer concert series are wrapping up and our calendar is looking a little thin, there are still plenty of can't-miss shows this weekend!

First up, folk-rocker Severio Mancieri is playing Revel Brewing in Park Rapids, Friday night at 7 p.m. He is a singer-songwriter and acoustic guitar shredder with two albums to his name, most recently, A Thousand Feet from the Sun in 2023.

Later that night, Thomas X is taking over Logjammerz in Cass Lake to celebrate the release of his new album, Always Be Brave. The Red Lake rapper’s latest release draws from boom bap and bass heavy hip hop, with tons of features from throughout the Native music community. Joining Thomas X at the album release show are Leech Lake rapper BWade, DJ OG, Sammi C and more.

Tune in to Headwaters this Thursday at 10:15 a.m. for an interview and live performance from Thomas and vocalist Anamikii Fallsfeather on KAXE.

Saturday morning, the duo Me & Er will be at the Green Scene Market & Eatery in Walker, 11 a.m. This is Eric Carlson and Erika Mork’s acoustic guitar and violin duo; you can also find the duo playing together in The Oxbows.

Wrapping up The Setlist is The Cropdusters Trio at the Quarterdeck Resort in East Gull Lake, Saturday at 6 p.m. They are country-rock band from the Fargo-Moorhead area who blend jam, psychedelic rock and country music. Earlier this year they released an album, Figure It Out... .
