Calling on Cash fans, there are a pair of shows related to the country legend on The Setlist this week!
In addition, virtuosic shredding from Between Howls and the Scandinavian folk of Project: Constellation.

The duo Between Howls is playing in Grand Rapids this Thursday, 6 p.m. at Rapids Brewing Co. Ren and Nick Howl are both highly talented vocalist/instrumentalists, wowing crowds with their breakneck shredding and slow burning ballads. They play a mix of covers and originals from their debut album, Cabin Fever.
In Eveleth on Friday you can catch The Bitter Spills, Rich Mattson and Baby Grant Johnson, performing at Eggy’s Red Garter. The show at the best named venue in the Northland is their Cash Only classic country and Johnny Cash tribute act. The Bitter Spills are Mattson's longtime folk project with bluesman Johnson. Music begins at 7 p.m.
At the same time, alt-country band Six Mile Grove are playing at The Terrace in Aitkin. The band formed back in 1997 in Lyle, Minnesota, and have seven albums to their name, most recently Million Birds from 2018. Continuing the Johnny Cash theme, the band are well known for their collaboration and friendship with the late Bob Wootton, the longtime guitar player in Johnny Cash's band. This Friday, 7 p.m. in downtown Aitkin.
Our last show on The Setlist is Project: Constellation at Bemidji Brewing, Saturday at 5 p.m. for the Sunset Sounds concert series. They are a folk duo who perform songs from Finland, Ireland and the Scandinavian countries, often in that country's language.

Events this week include "Hello, Dolly!" in Hibbing, a book sale in Park Rapids and a nighttime pollinator program at Lake Bemidji State Park.
