As temperatures warm, we start to see more shows outdoors and more shows on Sundays. We've got two of each for you on The Setlist this week!
Known Only Locally is playing Brigid’s Pub in Bemidji, Friday at 7 p.m. They are a long-running folk, bluegrass, Americana and roots music band dating back to the '70s, featuring longtime members Kristi Miller, Gary Broste and Miriam Tell, alongside recent additions Eric Carlson, Mauro Gutierrez and more.
On Saturday, bluesman PK Mayo is bringing a new Electric Quartet to Smoke on the Water in Coleraine at 5 p.m. Typically playing solo these days, the Minnesota Blues Hall of Famer will be joined by John Wright, Steve Lehto and Matt Jacobs at the venue's outdoor stage on the shore of Trout Lake.
And a pair of midday shows. On Sunday, musician Drew Peterson is playing the Cana Wine Bar in Crosby, Sunday at 2 p.m. An Americana and folk-blues singer-songwriter, Peterson is a former member of bands like 40 Watt Bulb and Dead Pigeons. In his solo music, he draws from artists like Elizabeth Cotton and John Prine.
Then Brothers Burn Mountain is playing The Terrace in downtown Aitkin, Sunday at 3 p.m. Ryan and Jesse Dermody play a heavy psychedelic blues, rock and folk mix with only guitar, drums and vocals. Their last release was a retrospective celebrating 25 years as a band in 2025.
