BOVEY — Paul Bunyan Communications announced the completion of its Bovey broadband expansion Tuesday, Jan. 27.
The cooperative's all-fiber optic network, the GigaZone, is operational, and those who have signed up for service are being contacted to set up installation.
Those interested can still sign up with no construction fee when feasible.
Paul Bunyan is nearing the end of its 2025 expansion projects.
The cooperative completed its expansion in Balkan Township, north of Chisholm, earlier this month.
In November, Paul Bunyan estimated its expansion in the Great Scott Township area would be finished by the end of January.
Crow Wing County's Eric Klang said agents worked out of the sheriff's office while temporarily stationed in the lakes area, asking him for guidance on "what's off limits."
