GRAND RAPIDS — Construction season is nearing its end, but Paul Bunyan Communications' broadband expansion projects in Itasca and St. Louis counties are still on track, the co-op announced Nov. 7.
Paul Bunyan Communications had three projects in Itasca County and five projects in St. Louis County this year.
Services are now available in Coleraine and Bearville, Sandy, Pike, Wuori and French townships.
Service is expected in Alango, Angora and Owens townships by the end of November, Bovey by mid-December, Balkan Township by the end of December and the Great Scott Township area by the end of January.
Once the network is operational in a project area, Paul Bunyan Communications will contact customers who signed up for service to schedule installations.
Residents and businesses that did not initially sign up for service can do so at any time, and the co-op said it will install the fiber optic connection with no construction fee.
