BAXTER — A 14-year-old Baxter student was taken into custody after a report of a threat to Forestview Middle School.
The Baxter Police Department stated in a news release that officers identified the unnamed male student as the person responsible for making the threats Monday evening, Dec. 15.
"The safety of our schools and community remains our highest priority," a news release stated.
In the Tuesday release, Baxter Police reported the student was taken into custody without incident for felony threats of violence and was transported to a juvenile detention center.
The incident remains under investigation, and charges were referred to the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
