MOUNTAIN IRON — People in search of food, housing and health resources can find it all at the next Community Connect event set for Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Mountain Iron Community Center.
The event runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is designed as a "one-stop-shop" for people experiencing economic hardship or homelessness.
Attendees can expect a free meal and hygiene items, housing supports, health insurance information and mental health and substance use disorder resources.
Agencies and nonprofits will also offer older adult resources, children and family services, warrant resolutions, vaccine and disease education and more.
Arrowhead Transit will provide free transportation to and from the event on existing routes.
Community Connect is co-sponsored by St. Louis County Public Health, Fairview, Essentia Health, Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency, Medica and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
