Through the online survey, the city seeks feedback on a wide variety of topics, including cannabis, the library, parks and Old Central School.

GRAND RAPIDS — A new survey from the city of Grand Rapids lets community members give their input on everything from community development to city services.

The City Council will use the results to guide its decision-making.

The survey covers a wide variety of topics, including:

  • Planning and development
  • Fire department escorts for athletics
  • Library hours and services
  • Speeding and emergency alerts
  • Snow removal and waste management
  • Parks, trails and ice rinks
  • Communications and citizen engagement
  • Municipal cannabis
  • Old Central School

The survey is open to both residents and nonresidents.

There is no set date for responses to be submitted. Administrator Tom Pagel estimated the survey will remain open for about two weeks, as of Thursday, Sept. 18.
