CROOKSTON — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 20, as the agency plans to reconstruct a section of downtown Crookston beginning in 2027.
The redesigned corridor will include a lane reduction to accommodate wider sidewalks and a bicycle lane, and will remove three traffic signals while installing new pedestrian crossing beacons.
The open house will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Crookston City Hall.
"This project has been developed over years of collaborative planning between the city of Crookston and MnDOT," stated a release from the agency. "The final project design was established through a community-led corridor study where many different alternatives were explored."
