GRAND RAPIDS — The National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota will continue its statewide listening tour with a stop in Grand Rapids on Wednesday, July 30.
The organization invites people living with mental illnesses, family members and mental health care professionals to share their experiences navigating the state's mental health care system. Executive Director Sue Abderholden is leading the tour, along with the NAMI Minnesota Policy Team.
"We want to hear directly from people in Itasca County and surrounding communities about what's working — and what isn't — when it comes to accessing mental health care," Abderholden said in a news release. "Your stories help guide our advocacy and shape the future of mental health policy in Minnesota."
The free event will take place 6-8 p.m. at Woodland Bank. It will include a brief presentation on the outcomes of the state's 2025 legislative session, as well as time for questions about recent policy developments and community discussion.
