BRAINERD — Brainerd Police will conduct a coordinated ground search for a missing woman on Monday, July 28.
Cory Degeest, 61, was last seen walking on Beech Street two weeks before she was reported missing on July 13.
Authorities are concerned for her well-being, partially due to pre-existing medical conditions.
The Brainerd Police Department said Monday’s search will focus on undeveloped land in southeast Brainerd.
It asks that the public not undertake independent search efforts in the same area on Monday to ensure the safety of all involved and prevent interference with the search operation.
Degeest is white, 5 feet, 1 inch tall and approximately 190 pounds, with sandy brown hair and blue eyes.
If you have new information regarding Degeest’s whereabouts or discover anything relevant to her disappearance — such as clothing or personal effects, particularly a blue windbreaker — do not disturb the items and call the Brainerd Police Department at 218-829-2805.
