HACKENSACK — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an open house Thursday, April 3, to share information about Highway 371 construction beginning in May.
The open house is from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hackensack Community Center. There will be no formal presentation at the, but project staff will be available to share more about the schedule and traffic impacts and answer questions.

MnDOT will build a roundabout at the intersection of 371 and Cass County Highway 5 near Swanson’s Bait and Tackle. The project will also include reconstructing and paving 371, sidewalk upgrades, utility improvements and a culvert replacement near Barthelemy Avenue.
The agency says the project will be completed in mid-October, weather permitting, and it will create a safer road, safer intersections, longer-lasting driving surface, improved drainage and pedestrian accessibility.
For those unable to attend in person, materials will be posted on MnDOT's project website.
