MOUNTAIN IRON — The family of Ben Sherwood, a Mountain Iron man reported missing and found dead last week, is fundraising to cover the costs of his funeral.

Sherwood was reported missing to St. Louis County authorities on March 11 and his body was found at his residence the next day. Authorities do not suspect foul play.

Jacqueline Sherwood, his wife, is organizing the GoFundMe to cover the costs of his funeral and other expenses.

"Our family moved to Minnesota just a few years ago and we have no extended family in the area," Sherwood wrote in her fundraiser. "I want to give Ben the service he deserves, and give our children the chance to say goodbye to their daddy."
